The Wildkat Tamers
Formed out of a previous band ‘The James St Demons,’ which never really got going, Paul speller (‘Dingo’), who was also on guitar, switched to double bass, and Paul Dickinson (‘Magic Voodoo Pauley!’) plays guitar and occasionally blues harp on recordings when needed.
We set out to play rock ‘n’ roll, rockabilly, rhythm and blues the old way. – IE guitar, double bass, stripped down snare and cymbal set up… with Mole battering said drum!
We are now writing our own songs with some being tributes to Chuck Berry, Screamin’ Jay Hawkins, Bo Diddley etc .
The Name!? It comes from an old fave , Wildcat Tamer by Tarheel Slim.
