State Records was started by Marty and Mole, both members of garage/psych group The Higher State, in the fall of 2007.

Our main aim is to make records that sound like records used to!

So far we have released 6 limited edition 45rpm 7″ vinyl singles, 2 vinyl LPs and a series of limited run CD-R EPs.
The artists on our label include The Higher State, Paul Messis, Groovy Uncle, Suzi Chunk, Hidden Masters, The Lykes of Yew, Internationale, Bernard Eveleigh, The Wildkat Tamers and Sleeping Bear.

Our records are distributed worldwide by Get Hip in America, Clear Spot in Europe and Cargo in the UK.
